He’s a singer, songwriter, musician, blogger and most recently, a producer and engineer. This, is Corey Stewart in a nutshell.
In his 30+ years in the Australian music industry, Corey has performed in countless bands, written hundreds of songs, played far too many gigs to remember and experienced all of the highs and lows of being a touring songwriter/musician in Australia.
In between writing and performing his songs, Corey has also been heavily involved with the Australian and global songwriting community through his involvement with global songwriting organisation SCALA (Songwriters, Composers and Lyricists Association) to writing articles about songwriting on his website.
In between all of this, Corey has also judged many songwriting contests and band competitions, taught guitar and bass, been a musical director for touring bands and worked in numerous recording studios as a session musician for hire.
As you can see, Corey is not afraid to give things a go.
His love affair with the recording studio as a stand alone instrument had been simmering away in the background for a very long time but it was only since 2010 when he started to take on the role of studio engineer/producer very, very seriously.
In that time he’s been putting together his own home recording studio setup called SongMachine but now, by being one half of Stapleton Stewart Productions, Corey has the unique opportunity to put what he’s learnt over the years to practise by working with songwriting and music industry heavyweight Geoffrey Stapleton.
Corey brings to the Stapleton Stewart Productions partnership a methodical, organised and process driven approach to creativity which enables Geoffrey’s comfortable and relaxed recording atmosphere to flourish therefore, giving maximum value to the client.
With Corey (and Geoffrey) working in your corner, you’ve got everything to gain and nothing to lose.
